Welcome
to
Wattree's Den
Some of the greatest minds I've ever known held court while sitting on empty milk crates in the parking lot of
ghetto liquor stores. It was at their feet that I first embraced the love of knowledge, and through their tutelage
learned to define self-worth in my own terms.
These were the Eulipians--writers, poets, musicians, and uncommon drunks--philosophers who comtemplated
the cracks between the toes of society.  And while these obscure intellectuals stood well outside the mainstream
of academy, I've watched with astonished delight as their students infused their various philosophies into the
mainstream of human knowledge. Many of them are gone now, but they dedicated their lives to the proposition
that man's innate thirst for knowledge
would someday overwhelm his lust for stupidity.
In pursuit of that goal I dedicate this site,
and on their behalf
relate this
MESSAGE FROM THE HOOD.
LEGACY
Neither scholar nor the head of state,
The most common of men seems to be my fate;
A life blistered with struggle and constant need,
As my legacy to man I present my seed.

More fertile, more sturdy, they both than I,
This withered old vine left fallow and dry;
The nectar of their roots lie dormant still,
But through their fruit I'll be revealed.

Eric L. Wattree
Greetings.
And welcome to Wattree's Den--an
oasis of sanity in this vast wasteland of
madness. Come to where we emphasize,
and we specialize, in the sweet sounds
of jazz, and the comforting embrace of
sound and logical thought.  Now just
sit back, relax, and allow me to caress,
satiate, and invigorate the passionate
yearnings deep within the shadows of
your soul.
